The Hungry Traveller ! A catch phrase which took me like forever to come up with.

I seriously love to immerse in the culture of the place I am visiting mostly through their food.

As a Hungry Traveler the goal is to make sure food is one of the highlights of my travel.

I created this page initially as an online diary. For me to document my travels. Being that I enjoy traveling during my personal time.

Little did I expect that this Erik the Hungry Traveller blog would open doors for me and rekindle my passion for writing and story telling.

The Hungry Traveller Introvert

As an introvert I enjoy some ME moments and that is the second piece of why I enjoy solo travels.

These solo travels gives me the opportunity to have control over my actions. To just not think about other’s opinions or suggestions.

Since when you solo travel you get to decide where to go. Erik the Hungry Traveler gets to do what I want to do for that day and of course what and when I eat for all my solo travels.

Well this blog is not entirely just about solo travels. Here I also share tips, share thoughts about travel buddies and best places to visit which are both solo, pair and or group travel friendly.

Who Am I?

For those interested in knowing the face behind Erik the Hungry Traveller. My name is Erik James Requina.

As a day job I am a Human Resource Consultant, Business Owner and Painter.

And yes I do a lot of things on the side. I just can’t stay still!

This Hungry Traveller is based in the Philippines and the blog Erik the Hungry Traveller initially focused on Solo Travels in the Philippines.

Expanding the World of Erik the Hungry Traveller

Over time and with a handful of Philippine solo travel posts. Erik- I – Me set my eyes on the world.

For the 2nd year of my blog I was able to tour around Asia and the Americas. Creating travel and food post about highly recommended places to visit in those countries.
